The
Spiritual Power of Free Will "Never believe that a few caring
people can't change the world, for indeed, that's all who
ever have. Anthropologist Margaret Mead
After the September 11th event, I remembered
this quote, forgetting that the word 'caring' was in it. I thought
how true it is that a few people can change the history of the
world, caring or unkind. What this event has shown me is the
incredible power we have as human beings united to do great
things. We can focus our thoughts and intentions on good &
love or hatred & destruction. Either way we have the potential
to have a great effect. God gave us so many gifts as spiritual beings
in human form: the power of our imagination and will; the
intellect and mind; the emotions and reasoning faculties. What we
see is the absolute misuse of the spiritual power of free will. America has its fanatics. They are in the hate
groups and those who bomb abortion clinics in the name of God.
What is overwhelming is the intention to cause such hateful and
hurtful mass destruction. The complete futility of war and hatred
has not yet shone its heavenly light within these individuals.
With the experience of oneness comes the understanding of the
intricate web of life that unites us all. So many before us have said it in so many ways:
What you do to others you do to yourself. Exercise your free will by focusing on spiritual truth and freedom. Live with an open heart, embracing life. Let the divine within you shine its pure radiance of love and understanding. Know that you are the peace the world seeks.
