About Us
Marvin and Debbi Brown
Rev. Marvin Brown is an ordained inter- denominational and New Thought minister through the International Council of Community Churches. He is also ordained in the Buddhist Order of Interbeing through Thich Nhat Hanh. Marvin spent two years as a full time resident at Manzanita Village, a Buddhist Retreat Center, in southern California. He has four years ministerial training at Teaching of the Inner Christ. His eclectic background also includes membership on the board and training at Unity, Religious Science and Episcopal churches. Marvin teaches mindfulness practice and classes on New Thought, metaphysics, mysticism and the history of religion and churches. He is currently working on a weekend seminar Creating Communities without Borders for the Valley area. .
Rev. Debbi Brown is an ordained
interdenominational and New Thought minister through the
International Council of Community Churches. She is a Reiki
Master-Teacher of three traditions: USUI, Mahatma & Karuna. Debbi is
an Angelic intuitive, certified clinical hypnotherapist and spiritual healer and counselor.
She and her husband,
Marvin, graduated as Oneness Practitioners after a year of study at the World Peace Institute. She grew up in the Catholic faith before becoming active in the Unity Church
for twelve years. Debbi also serves the community as a part time Chaplain. She facilitates workshops and classes on spirituality and sacred journeys. She is currently exploring
communication and mediation skills to bring the message of world peace more powerfully into the community.
Both Rev. Debbi and Marvin Brown are on staff as teachers at The Southwest Institute of Healing Arts and The Community Church of new Thought. Debbi is on staff as a healer at Gold Canyon Healing Art Center and The Retreat at the Farm at South Mountain.
